President Obama Wins Tournament Challenge; Final Four Preview

There is no other way to say this, I was just terrible at picking my bracket this year. This is the worst bracket I have ever filled out during all my years watching college basketball. I don't know what happened, but I was completely awful. I have none of the Final Four teams, Pitt and Louisville really let me down. Even worse is that I only had 2 of the Elite 8 teams picked correctly. It is pretty hard to actually try and do that bad. Louisville and Pitt were my only Elite 8 teams.

Meanwhile, President Obama has the contest clinched by picking the Tar Heels to go this far. However, he was not flawless with his picks, he had only 1 of the Final Four. That shows how strange these pools can be, and how you have to be lucky to win. The prime example is in my tournament pool, where a person who picked Temple and Maryland to go to the Final Four is still alive.

I have learned my lesson about taking risks in this NCAA Tournament. Therefore, my Final Four picks are as bland as it gets. I have UConn overcoming the Spartan home-court advantage to advance to the championship game. Although I am rooting for 'Nova, I expect North Carolina to overwhelm the Wildcats. My next post will be a Final Four Review/Championship Preview.
